In Southern Italy, nestled against the Tyrrhenian Sea, lies Naples. While the origins of pizza go back to ancient times, Naples gradually assumed its reputation as having the finest pizza in Italy. Over the centuries, pizza was enjoyed by royalty and working families alike. Earlier in their lives, Ken and Denise Walter had enjoyed traveling through Italy and eating the classic cuisine. Then life changed. In 2004, they were parenting three children under the age of 4 and working full time. Italy was but a fond memory. Many nights the family of five dined on frozen pizza to save time and money. Being a passionate and adventurous food lover, Ken started experimenting with different varieties of dried chiles to personalize their pizza and add heat and flavor to their new staple food. They quickly realized that their specialty, gourmet pepper blends could help other families stuck in the frozen pizza rut and Daviola was born. Daviola Original Pizza Peppers feature an all-natural blend of flavorful chile flakes - Spicy Ancho, Smoky Chipotle, and Hot Habanero. The salt-free, additive and preservative-free blends use the finest dried chiles available.
